Our Team
Our team consists of dedicated individuals, not paying customers who are passionate about the environment. We have scientists, educators, and activists who work towards our common goal.
Our History
Founded in 1996 by Capt Vic Scoggin from a 696 mile swim to draw attention to the environmental and historical concerns, Save The Cumberlnd Inc. has been working towards environmental protection for over 26 years. We have made significant strides in promoting whats right and wrong and awareness.
Save The Cumberland Inc. will through public education, scientific research, and community effort, develop environmental and historical awareness and action by sharing information that promotes and improves the health of the Cumberland River Watershed. Our collaborative efforts with others, will ensure that the watershed will be a source of sustainable life for generations to come.
Our mission is to make the Cumberland the cleanest major river in America.
