Our Team
Our team consists of dedicated individuals, not paying customers who are passionate about the environment. We have scientists, educators, and activists who work towards our common goal. You don't pay to belong to our organization. no guilt, no payoff, no bullshit.
Our History
Founded in 1996 by Capt Vic Scoggin from a 696 mile swim down the Cumberland River to draw attention to the environmental and historical concerns, Save The Cumberland Inc. has been working towards environmental protection for over 28 years. We have made significant strides in promoting what's right and wrong and awareness. I do not pay myself as President/Founder. Most of the top organization are paying themselves six figures. And a lot of their donations are coming from the polluters themselves. They bullshit the public and pull on their heartstrings and say "they protect our water supply." NO THEY DONT. Our rivers are polluted and getting worse by the day. Also most are liberal leaning left and voted for Biden/Harris, and believe in Bernie. I am a 2nd Amendment follower and a Ultra Conservative Tree Hugger.
Save The Cumberland Inc. will through public education, scientific research, and community effort, develop environmental and historical awareness and action by sharing information that promotes and improves the health of the Cumberland River Watershed. Our collaborative efforts with others, will ensure that the watershed will be a source of sustainable life for generations to come.
Our mission is to make the Cumberland the cleanest major river in America.
